Local Details
Serving Ogden and Weber County
West Ogden is where the city has been rebuilding. The Trackline project area, created in 2013, covers about 122 acres there, and the Ogden Business Exchange business park has been built on it. In April 2026 the city approved a land transfer agreement to restore the historic Union Stock Exchange Building, built in 1930 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, with the core structure expected about eighteen months after closing.

Where loads go
Weber County’s transfer station is in Ogden at 867 West Wilson Lane, and since July 1, 2026 WM runs its general waste collection, construction and demolition material included. For demolition loads the county also lists the Moulding & Sons Landfill, which takes demolition materials but not liquids of any kind. Weber County loads go to facilities including Moulding & Sons.
On the street
Ogden’s code requires a permit from the city engineer before any part of a public street is used for building or repair work on the land beside it, under whatever limits the engineer sets (7-4-3). Using the street for more than 14 calendar days, or more than 15 feet out from the curb, also needs the mayor’s approval. Ask the city engineer before a can for your build goes on the street.
